Loved Twin Peaks. Watched it with a group of friends back when it was first broadcast. We’d unplug the landline so we weren’t interrupted, break out the coffee and cherry pie, and everyone would shut up and just watch the show. Then we’d try and figure out wtf was going on, sometimes rewatching almost the entire episode and dissecting it. I miss that experience: no other show has come close.
Shame it got cancelled and the last few episodes of season two tried to wrap up something that needed at least one more full season.
You haven’t watched the third season?
The third season is some of my favorite TV of all time, and that’s saying a lot because I’ve watched a lot of TV shows.
The Return is probably some of the finest television ever made. It took a show that was clever and incisive satire and elevated it to it’s own art form. And while that sounds like pretentious comments from a second year film student, I stand by it.
Sounds like a good opportunity to get the gang back together 🙂
