My biggest gripe is when they’re not cleanly shaven, visibly dirty and rugged, and then their teeth are blinding white. Motherfucker even my own teeth don’t fucking blind me and I wash my teeth.
Enamels fucking ruined historical dramas for me while we’re at it. Braces too tbh, ohhh we used to have actual snagle teeth in my day 😩
they use whitening products to make thier teeth that white. i dint know people did this excessively to thier teeth. it actually damages your teeth in the end.
They’re always “styled dirty”, so they look filthy but somehow perfect. It’s like when the hero gets a cut, it’s always this cool looking little streak across the cheekbone, or if it’s on the body it’s a perfect 10cm scar on the shoulder, or close by the pelvis so they can show off their abs. It takes me out of the suspension of disbelief, because I can’t get lost in the acting if the acting is done by these perfect creatures that look NOTHING like they haven’t slept, are underfed, paranoid, depressed, and on the brink.
Sure, that is harder to achieve, because good art is hard to achieve, and I just don’t dig cheap art, what can I say.
Part of that (the cut placement) is making the prosthetics though. Yeah, you can make good looking cuts elsewhere, but the more the site moves, the more hassle it is. Facial prosthetics in particular run into trouble when they’re near the mouth or brows. So you end up with cheeks being preferred overall.
With the body, you run into issues with making something visible, movable, and believable. Gashes across the abs fail at all three, whereas shoulder and pecs are solid choices. Legs would be too, but they’re not in frame as much, and shouldn’t be without a good reason.
Everything on screen is a compromise of some sort.
Hm I hadn’t thought of that angle
The Ghost and the Darkness, Val Kilmer. I enjoyed that movie a lot. But every time that handsome devil smiled it took me right out of 18th century Kenya and straight to 1996 LA TMZ.
Maybe you should try brushing instead.
…So you get volume and lushness to your teeth.
Remind me of “what if your teeth were flaccid but got naturally hard when you were hungry” (not my joke)
I can’t stop laughing. Thank you.
I also wash my teeth. Im just using regular dawn right now and my teeth are still yellow too. Maybe I need to try that citrus stuff with the grit in it.
